Dust Till Dawn • Social Run Club

Humans are naturally social beings, with a fundamental need for connection and interaction that is deeply anchored in our evolutionary past. We have adapted to live and collaborate in groups, depending on cooperation and social ties for our survival. This necessity for social engagement influences various areas of our lives, including leisure pursuits like running. 

One of the reasons ‘Dust Till Dawn’, a monthly meetup for fellow running enthusiasts, was brought to life is the deeply ingrained necessity for social interaction. Our Antwerp shop manager, Gijs, and Eat Dust co-owner, Keith, created this initiative. After some time, goals were set, with some completing their first marathon while others opted for a half marathon. The next objective is to conquer a 22k trail run in the beautiful nature of Limburg. When Merrell, one of our partners, learned about this project, they joined us in this endeavor, providing footwear for the event. To try out these new shoes and prepare for the 22k trail adventure, the CRÜ enjoyed a chilly Sunday morning run together.

The next Dust Till Dawn run is scheduled for  Sunday, February 16, 9 a.m. at our Antwerp Store. If you wish to support the CRÜ, they will also be participating in the Hoge Kempen Half Marathon on February 23.
